Free the memory<\/em>, performance as part as ‘PURITY’, exhibition by Anita Mucolli, CACY, Yverdon-les-Bains, 2023 \u00a9 Anita Mucolli<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This performance was inspired by the cuckoo behavior and the question of how to find one\u2019s place. Wearing a bird costume that has lost its feathers, the performer wanders through the space, quoting poems and songs, interprating Bj\u00f6rk and Annette Peacock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will wade out
Till my thighs
Are steeped
In burning flowers
I will take the sun
In my mouth
And leap into
The ripe air
Alive with closed eyes
To dash
Against darkness
In the sleeping curves
Of my body
I shall enter
Fingers
Of smooth mastery
With chasteness
Of sea-girls
Will I complete
The mystery
